Thought for the day;

Life is a delicate balance of yin and yang but when we surrender to the universal flow and absorb the lessons and love from our experiences and encounters, we fulfill our soul purpose.

The Budget Misdeal: An Agreement That Solves Nothing
The budget deal announced yesterday in Washington offers temporary relief from budget crisis, hostage-taking, government shutdowns. But it does nothing to deal with the problems the country faces. And the reasons for that are clear.

Day Of Action Reveals Anger With Education Policies
A Day of Action to Reclaim Public Education held on Dec. 9 in over 100 sites took on many forms, but there were common grievances. The range of locations and number of participants are testament to the breadth and depth of complaints.

On TPP Call, USW's Leo Gerard Nails A Key Point
Leo Gerard nailed the key point about the trade deals we have gotten ourselves into. We have not yet found ourselves in a good, balanced trade deal. In all of the trade deals we have made, the country has lost money and has lost jobs.

The Modest Bargain
It's a tiny deal, which is always better than a big deal when you're dealing with these Republicans. But large spending cuts remain the bipartisan objective of the budget as far as the eye can see.

The Budget Deal: A Dirge for the Unemployed
The phrase that keeps coming to mind with regard to the budget deal struck by congressional negotiators Tuesday, especially when it comes to the unemployed, is more than 200 years old: Man's inhumanity to man.

LAW OF THE GARBAGE TRUCK

Have a gret Day
Subject: LAW OF THE GARBAGE TRUCK

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!
The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really
friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car
and sent us to the hospital!'

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full
of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage
and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over
their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

so .... Love the people who treat you right.

Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a garbage-free day!

A friend shared this with me.  I hope you enjoy it also.
If you understand,
Things are just as they are.
If you do not understand,
Things are just as they are.

I don't know who wrote "THE FINAL INSPECTION", but PLEASE Keep this going!

Read to the end!

I hope this poster circles the globe.

If it weren't for the United States military,
There'd be NO United States of America .

PLEASE DO NOT HOLD ON TO THIS, NOR PRESS DELETE.
SOMEONE HAS TO HOLD OUR COUNTRY IN THEIR HANDS. SEND THIS ON.

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The Soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'no, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.

I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
'Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

It's the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us the freedom of the press.
It's the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us the freedom of speech.
It's the Soldier, not the politicians that ensures
Our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

If you care to offer the smallest token of recognition and appreciation for the Military, please pass this on.
