Dear Robert,
Ride2Recovery (R2R) is an organization that helps the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded veterans through cycling. Through special adaptive equipment, they are able to assist veterans with even the most devastating of wounds. Even triple amputees can participate in the rehabilitative experience of cycling!

Sadly, Ride2Recovery recently had 16 specially customized bicycles, valued at approximately $2,500 each, stolen from a storage facility in San Diego. That means that 16 veterans who are working to rehabilitate and recover from physical and mental injuries will be without the equipment they need to do that. 16 heroes who saw the worst that war had to offer, who want nothing more than to overcome the pain of combat, will not have that opportunity!
DVNF found out about the stolen equipment on Tuesday night, and I'm pleased to say that we have a check for $20,000 on the way to Ride2Recovery to help them replace the equipment that was stolen.
Ride2Recovery's main focus is to restore hope and purpose to veterans, and hopefully, this donation will allow them to do just that.
As luck would have it, DVNF was in the initial stages of partnering with R2R for our next special initiative, but we were able to go ahead and lend a little support in their time of need. We will formally announce the specifics of this upcoming initiative very soon!
2 More Weeks to Support DVNF's Service Dog Initiative!
Thanks to your outpouring of generosity and support of our service dog initiative, we are very close to our final goal!
But, we only have 2 weeks left before we close this initiative! If you were hoping to support this worthy initiative that will help to provide service dogs to veterans with mental wounds, we encourage you to do so now!
On the Horizon
DVNF recently sent a Health & Comfort shipment to Jezreel International, an Albany, New York-based organization that supports homeless and low-income veterans!
This shipment will help them restock their "free store," which will allow veterans in need of clothing, hygiene items, and other necessities, to be able to get the support they need throughout the year.
We have another upcoming shipment to a South Florida stand down at the beginning of May, so we truly thank you for your continued support of the programs of DVNF. We are helping veterans in so many different ways, and with your ongoing generosity, we can keep up the momentum!

But this is the type of hope that DVNF provides for disabled veterans. The hope of a fresh start. That the progress they made to date was not in vain.
