Defense Centers of Excellence summit seeks to improve the lives of service members, veterans, families

The recent Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) Summit promoted a collaborative approach to meeting the psychological health and traumatic brain injury needs of today's service members, veterans and their beneficiaries in all treatment contexts and phases of recovery.

Virtual Hope Box puts suicide prevention tools at users' fingertips

One of the tools used in suicide prevention is a hope box—a container with user-selected items that help those who are stressed to cope with tough times. A hope box might contain a letter or email, a photo of special times and loved ones, or inspirational quotes; anything that can lift spirits. But carrying around a shoebox can be impractical, which is why a smartphone app has been developed that keeps those same resources close at hand for those in need.

Airmen, Soldiers display rapid medical response

Saving lives is not only the responsibility of medical responders within the Kaiserslautern Military Community; all Airmen and Soldiers must stay current on training to respond in times of need.

More than 60 NATO officers from around the globe recently attended a medical response demonstration.
