02 April 2014 Army Starts Testing New Jungle Boots for Pacific Soldiers may soon be shelving their desert boots and lacing up the Army's new, modernized jungle boots. Uniform officials announced they could begin testing several commercially available jungle boot designs this summer as part of an effort to prepare for the Army's pivot to the Pacific region.
