Proponents claim energy drinks can improve performance and contain natural ingredients. However, when it comes to women and what motivates them to purchase and consume energy drinks and energy shots, the reasons differ from men.

Military Health System members use Hispanic heritage to help in care, compassion

As the Military Health System (MHS) celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, three members of the system are sharing how their experiences helped shaped how they serve. Navy Cmdr. HernĂ¡n Altamar is a staff urologist and the medical director for Healthcare Operations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Army Maj. Nestor Ramos is a doctor at Fort Bliss, Texas, and Joseph Nieves is a retired Army staff sergeant who now works as a public affairs specialist at Walter Reed. While each has a unique story and family history, the common thread is how their heritage helped them become better MHS team members.
