One of the most distinguished awards presented at the recent Federal Health 2015 conference in San Antonio was the MHS 2015 Battlefield Innovation Award which honored multiple recipients for their individual contributions to Joint Trauma System (JTS) improvements.

There are a few things that happen to us in life that we wish we could forget or wish never happened, and I would like to share one of those unforgettable experiences with you. One day my great-grandmother asked me to go outside with her to collect eggs from the chicken coop. She handed me a small basket and gave me direct and specific instructions: "Go inside the coop, reach your hands underneath the left side of the hens, get all the eggs, and bring the basket back to me." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
